Title
Little Boxes
Artist
Leonie Higgins Noone
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas Paper
Description
I grew up in the northern suburban sprawl of Perth, Western Australia, but longed to escape to the countryside. I always felt that everything and everyone was the same doing the same things the same way with the same outcome (not true of course but that is how my child and adolescent self felt).
The folk song Little Boxes has always reminded me of where I grew up.
I did run away to a rural life when I was 30 and have never looked back.

This is a wonderful expression of city life today, everybody isolated in their own little 'Box', dominated by the 'Metropolis' - I have enjoyed viewing your site, and reading the very interesting descriptions for each of your paintings, thank you.... Chris R

Thank you so much Chris. I have only been painting for about 8 months or so now and find it best to just express what I know, little snippets of my life. Glad you have enjoyed. :):)
